Unleash Your Creativity

Salvatore Press Imprint Program

* This program will be available soon

The -Salvatore Press Imprint Program- offers aspiring authors a unique opportunity to publish under a professional imprint, providing credibility and quality assurance akin to traditional publishing. By joining this program, authors can enhance the appeal of their self-published work while retaining full ownership and control. Here's an overview of what the program entails:

1. Professional Credibility: By publishing under the Salvatore Press name, authors signal to readers that their work meets high literary and publishing standards. This adds a level of professionalism that can be advantageous for marketing and gaining reader trust.

2. Quality Standards: The program requires that manuscripts meet a specific set of standards, similar to those used by reputable publishing houses. This includes:

   - Editing Requirements: Manuscripts must undergo independent review by a vetted, professional editor to ensure the narrative's structure, grammar, and style meet high-quality standards.

   - Formatting: Manuscripts need to align with industry-standard formatting, ensuring consistency and readability across digital and print platforms.

3. Publishing Agent Review: All Editor-Approved submissions are reviewed by an independent professional publishing agent. This evaluation provides the author with constructive feedback, strengthening the manuscript’s readiness for publication.

4. Submission and Participation Fee: Authors can join the program with a participation fee of $49.95 plus a surcharge of .50¢ per page (200-page min). This covers administrative support, imprint rights, and guidance through the publishing standards required. The fee for the independent manuscript review, conducted by one of our vetted professional editors, is separate and based on the editor’s rate. Authors must choose one of our vetted editors.

5. Autonomy and Flexibility: The program allows authors to maintain full control over their publishing journey, including their choice of self-publishing platform, ISBN management, and other decisions that typically fall within the self-publishing domain.

6. Clear Submission Guidelines and Support: Prospective authors can review detailed submission guidelines and quality requirements before joining. They can also access support from Salvatore Press’s publishing agent to help meet imprint standards.

The *Salvatore Press Imprint Program* is designed to empower writers with resources and credibility, offering the flexibility of self-publishing while maintaining professional quality. This hybrid approach makes it ideal for serious writers seeking an edge in the independent publishing landscape.

Definition of "Published Author"

A "bona fide published author" generally refers to a writer who has officially released a work through recognized publishing channels, reaching a public audience in a legitimate, industry-recognized way. Here’s how it breaks down:

1. Published through a Legitimate Platform: This could be through traditional publishing houses, self-publishing platforms like Amazon KDP, or independent presses, all of which make the work publicly available with standard ISBNs or cataloging.

2. Available for Public Sale or Distribution: The work is accessible to readers, typically for sale or free distribution through established retailers, online platforms, or public outlets, rather than private or personal-only circulation.

3. Editorial Oversight or Professional Presentation: A bona fide published work usually goes through some degree of editing, design, and formatting—whether independently or through a publisher—ensuring it meets professional presentation standards.

4. Intellectual Ownership: The author owns or holds rights to the published content, affirming that the work is original or legally obtained and produced under their name.

5. Record of Publication: The author has proof of publication, such as a listing with an ISBN agency, Amazon or a similar retailer listing, or registration with a professional organization for published works.

]

A "bona fide" published author has therefore achieved a level of public recognition or verifiability in the publishing industry, marking them as a professional or serious author. This status often builds credibility, access to certain author benefits, and sometimes qualification for industry associations or awards.
